4th KVA Health Conference
Thu 27 April 2017, 09:30 – 13:30 BST
KVA’s 4th Annual Kingston Voluntary Action Health Conference takes place on 27 April 2017, 9.30 – 1.30pm, at Doubletree Hilton Hotel, Skerne Road, Kingston KT2 5FJ. This is a free event but places are limited.
In a time of rising local need and ongoing cuts in funding and services, the voluntary sector has a growing place as a partner in supporting the wellbeing of the population. This conference will examine how the VCS are currently working to support local health and wellbeing, but also what role the VCS may take in the future in this agenda, and how this links with other health provision, from pharmacies to GP’s.
Suitable for frontline staff, academics, senior management and statutory bodies working in this sphere, this conference will provide an opportunity to meet and network with peers working in this space and take a practical look at way we can work together to ensure that the nesseccary support is in place for Kingston’s population to thrive.
Confirmed speakers include
- Professor Reem Kayyali, Professor of Clinical and Applied Pharmacy Practice, School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry, Kingston University
- Gul Root, Lead Public Health Pharmacist, Health and Wellbeing Directorate, Public Health England
