This is the 4th trefor.net UC Industry Exec Dinner. This time we have Professor Alan B Johnston along to talk to us about WebRTC. Alan is an old pal from the pioneering days of SIP - he was one of the authors and is now heavily involved with the development of WebRTC at the IETF. He is also a Consulting Member of Technical Staff for Avaya.
The format is the usual Chatham House rules with the guest speaker providing a stimulus for discussion rather than talking at us. If you haven't been before these are terrific evenings. The networking is top quality with top quality attendees, the content is highly relevant to the UC industry and there is always plenty of great food and drink.
Alan is a hugely personable chap and will be able to discuss WebRTC not only from a technology perspective but from where it fits into business.

Although this is only short notice - 2 weeks I'm assuming that many of you will be in the area anyway as it coincides with what was UC Expo (blowed if I can remember the new name).
The venue this time is Carom at Meza. This is a highly rated curry house with some great cocktails. It's a fixed menu - listed below. There is a vegetarian option - let me know if you need that.

Kerala Prawn Curry - Coconut, Ginger, Curry Leaf & Mango
Tandoori Chicken - Boneless Chicken breast, Yoghurt, Ginger, Garlic & Red Chili
Lamb Shank - Slow braised lamb shanks, caramelized onion sauce with spices
Aloo Podimaas - Sautéed Potatoes, Cumin & Turmeric
Gobi Matar - Cauliflower & garden peas, onion masala
Dal Makhani - Creamed Black Lentil
Saffron Pulao - Baked Basmati rice with Saffron
Tandoor Breads - Roti & Naan
Sticky toffee pudding caramel sauce, cinnamon ice cream
In the itnerest of testing the food I've been there for lunch anfd I have to tell you the sticky toffee pudding is amazing:)
Dress code is as usual relaxed. It's guaranteed to be another great evening and I look forward to seeing you all there. Note that individual VAT invoices will be issued to attendees. Ordinarily this is done electronically but whilst we are still in the process of getting a VAT number I will do this manually after the event. The total ticket price includes VAT. Note there no refunds are available for this event but if you have to drop out at the last minute you can send a substitute.
