Event Details

We know that authentic, two-way, human conversations are key to engaging employees and building relationships. We also know that engaged employees perform better, drive innovation forwards and are more loyal to the organisations that they work for, and yet, managers often struggle to have the right conversations with their team to achieve this. Using the latest neuroscience research and engagement data, The Oxford Group’s 5 Conversations approach takes managers through five key conversations that transform trust, engagement and performance at work.

Agenda for the session:

* The background to 5 Conversations
* Emotional intelligence and the neuroscience case for engagement
* The business case for employee engagement
* Exploring and trying out the conversations
* Reactions and implications

Debbie Wilkes FCIPD

“I develop, coach and enable leaders and managers, and specialise in building effective HR functions. I've worked in many sectors, and with small organisations through to global giants. The common factors are adding value to the business, and driving sales, performance, profit or transformation - by challenging and supporting leaders.”. Prior to my 25 years with The Oxford Group, I worked my way up to Head of HR for Europe in the pharma and IT industries.

Andy Dent (FILM)

“Having qualified as Executive Coach 6 years ago I have become more and more passionate about all things leadership and learning (particularly leadership and personal development) and became a Fellow of The Institute of Leadership and Management in July 2018.

Over the last 18 years I have gained significant experience of training/accreditation in leadership, managing, coaching, customer service, sales and health and fitness. Built on a foundation of experiences managing and leading large teams in the health and fitness sector and more recently leading business development, sales and engagement functions.

I have supported a number of large national and international businesses to develop and accredit leadership, management and coaching programmes and spoken at CIPD Learning and Development and the Annual HR Conferences in 2016 and 2017.”
