Zac Goldsmith will open this event by addressing the urgency of tackling biodiversity loss and protecting nature—and why it matters to us all. He will provide an overview of global progress towards the commitment to protect at least 30% of land and sea for nature by 2030 and explore solutions to bridge the biodiversity finance gap.

This will be followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Jack Chellman from the Global Returns Project, delving into the urgent need to scale climate and nature philanthropy.

Rob Gardner from Rebalance Earth will discuss the pivotal role of philanthropy in rethinking our extractive financial model, emphasising the importance of valuing natural capital and funding scalable nature-based solutions. Sophie Locke from Blue Marine Foundation will share insights into restoring ocean ecosystems, combating overfishing, and advocating for equitable and sustainable marine resource use—all contributing to the global 30x30 goal. Joined by Paula Quazi from Rainforest Alliance's regenerative agriculture team.

The panel will demonstrate how philanthropy, through GRP’s expertly selected charities, fills critical funding gaps and delivers immediate, high-impact solutions to some of the planet's most pressing challenges. The evening concludes with a Q&A session, followed by a drinks reception and networking opportunity.
