Behind the scenes tours at Dundee City Archives.

About this Event

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dundee City Archives we will be offering special tours behind the scenes at the archives. Tours will include a chance to get up close with some original documents covering Dundee’s history from the 14th century to the present day. See documents from some of our key collections, including the Keiller Collection, the Caledon Shipbuilders Collection and the Dundee Harbour Trust Collection. Find out more about Dundee’s history and the people who have lived here. Some of volunteers will also be on hand to explain about the work they have been doing at the Archives.

Tours take place at 10:00, 10:30, 11:30 and 12:00. Please select a ticket for the tour you would like to attend. Each tour will last approx. 45 minutes in total. Please ensure you arrive a few minutes early to ensure tours can leave on time.

**Due to popular demand we have now added an extra tour at 11:00**

There will also be a talks about 'Dundee Street Names" at 11am and “How to Research your Dundee Family History” at 12:30pm. Booking is not essential for the talks, but you can get a ticket via separate listings for these events on Eventbrite. See our organiser page.

As places are very limited for these tours, if you can no longer make the tour please cancel your ticket or phone 01382 434494.
