Event description

Description

In celebration of the Stonewall Uprising in the US which kickstarted the Gay Rights movement 50 years ago, this Black History Month we will reflect on the history of the BAME LGBTQ+ community in the UK over the last 50 years. What influenece did the Stonewall uprisings have on activism, and organising here in the UK?

Join us in conversation with Olivette Cole Wilson an activist and member of the group that formed the UK's Stonewall charity, and other activists who will reflect on their experiences of shaping the emerging gay rights movement in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

There will be refreshments. Open to all interested in LGBTQ+ History.

Spaces are limited so please book only if you can attend to ensure there is space for those who also want to come.

Thanks!
