About this Event

Connected with the world's leading trend-setters and spotters, David Rowan, travels the globe searching out the latest technology that is, or soon will be, impacting our lives and disrupting business in almost every sector. He is the author of Non-Bullshit Innovation: Radical Ideas from the World’s Smartest Minds.

Before going to medical school, Dr Rachel Clarke was a television journalist and documentary maker. She now specialises in palliative medicine. Dear Life is a book about the vital importance of human connection, by the doctor we would all want by our sides at a time of crisis. It is a love letter - to a father, to a profession, to life itself.

Paul Mason - journalist, writer, film-maker and former economics editor at BBC Newsnight - joins us to talk about our common humanity and his latest book a Clear Bright Future.

Gaia Vince is a science writer and broadcaster interested in the interplay between humans and the planetary environment. Transcendence tells the astonishing story of how culture enabled us to become the most successful species on Earth. Humans are the most successful species on Earth; a planet-altering force of nature. What are we then? And now we have remade the world, what are we becoming?

Sophie Walker talks about Five Rules for Rebellion. Sophie is a feminist activist, founding leader of the Women’s Equality Party, and recently-appointed chief executive of Young Women’s Trust, the charity representing and supporting women aged 18-30 who are living on no or low pay. She is passionate about rebuilding society for and with (extra)ordinary women.
