About this Event

Since we moved online, we've had an absolutely overwhelming response from our audience with thousands of people streaming into our sessions from all over the world. Thank you for your incredibly generous support! We're excited to be back in July with an outstanding line up of writers and thinkers. Featuring:

Fiona Shaw- one of our best loved actor who has starred in Killing Eve, Fleabag and Harry Potter- joins us for a conversation with Rosie Boycott - 5x15 co-founder. She will talk about her work and career and the arts in a time of crisis.

Writer, documentary-maker and historian Colin Grant on his acclaimed book Homecoming. An unforgettable portrait of the stories and voices of the Windrush generation, which brilliantly illuminates an essential and much-misunderstood chapter of our history.

Sir David Spiegelhalter - author of The Art of Statistics, Chair of the Winton Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication and former President of the Royal Statistical Society - on communicating statistics, risk and uncertainty in the era of coronavirus.

Linda Scott - Emeritus DP world professor for entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Oxford - on The Double X Economy; The Epic Potential of Women's Empowerment, a call to action to once and for all place women on an equal footing with men in order to create a better world.

Guardian foreign correspondent Luke Harding on his unputdownable new book: Shadow State: Murder, mayhem & Russia's remaking of the West -  a gripping investigative account of how Russia's spies helped elect Donald Trump, backed Brexit and threatened the very basis of western democracy.
