Event description
5x15 is back! Where are we at - and what comes next?

About this Event

With sparks from the US election still sure to be flying, join us online on Bonfire Night to explore where we’re at – and what comes next. Changing weather, changing minds and a wake up call around the world in 2020 - we promise this will be a lively and thought provoking session.

James O’Brien is the Sunday Times bestselling author of How To Be Right and his current affairs programme for LBC attracts 1.2 million listeners per week. Now, in How Not To Be Wrong, he turns the spotlight on himself, considering the often irrational and unconscious origins of his deeply-held views, and demonstrating how we can all open up to new perspectives. Why do we believe the things we do?

Jonathan Safran Foer - one of America's greatest writers - asks what you ate for breakfast this morning – and did you know it could change the world? Safran Foer lives in Brooklyn and is the celebrated author of Everything is Illuminated and Eating Animals. In We Are the Weather he weaves his family’s story together with an exploration of climate change – and shows us how we can save the planet every mealtime!

John Micklethwait CBE, editor-in-chief of Bloomberg News and former editor-in-chief of The Economist from 2006-2015, is the author of a new essay called The Wake-Up Call. He argues that Covid-19 has brutally exposed the weaknesses of Western governments. But what can be done to fix the failings that we’re daily more aware of?

More speakers to be announced soon!
