Workplace Mediation Skills training - 28th, 29th, 30th October and 4th, 5th, 6th November

Experienced mediators and trainers Freddie De Luca and Mirka Wojnar deliver this six-day in-person interactive course. It will take the learners through from understanding conflict and exploring individuals’ responses to it, through the steps of the mediation process, practicing the necessary skills to deliver a professional service. Calm Mediation provides each attendee with our exclusive mediation training manual, crafted and perfected in-house over many years of hands-on experience, ensuring access to valuable insights and effective learning resources at all stages of the mediator journey.

Cost:

£1,400 practical certificate only, without OCN accreditation

£1,900 practical certificate and OCN accreditation

  • STEP 1: To apply, register with an 'Introductory Process' ticket (free). You will be emailed an Application form in the following days. If you don't receive it, please email training@calmmediation.org

Successful applicants will be invited to a short phone or zoom interview.

  • STEP 2: If successful, we will invite you to book a place, with payment.

Two levels of training are available: Skilled Mediator and Accredited Mediator.

  • A 'Skilled Mediator' will have to pass the Day-6 practical assessment (£1400)
  • 'Accredited Mediator' - for this you will have to pass the 'Skilled Mediator' Day-6 practical assessment and submit a portfolio answering 11 questions (+£500). The word limit for each question is 250 words. The answers are entirely covered by the course and our manual - additional reading is not required. You will have two months to submit the portfolio, following the 6-day training.
  • If you choose 'Accredited Mediator', you will receive the nationally-recognised Level 3 accreditation – the equivalent of an A Level - from Open College Network (OCN Accreditation)

Volunteering with Calm Mediation

Upon passing the Day-6 practical assessment, there are pathways available to volunteer as a Calm Mediator, (after an online induction) in Workplace or (with a one day conversion course) Community Mediation.

We train mediators to deliver our mediation service and look for committed, reliable individuals who wish to support the community, working within a dedicated and supportive team. You need to be able to travel to do in-person mediating and training within the London area, with notice, as well as online mediation.
