Climate Think-In for COP28

Bankside is championed for its distinct character and for thinking differently - why should this be any different when it comes to the climate crisis?

COP28 will take place from 30 November until 12 December 2023 and here in Bankside we're all about practical action. We'll be hosting our Climate Think-In to bring Banksiders together as we explore, learn and share ideas for driving climate action.

This Think-In will take a closer look at energy in Southwark - from residents living in energy poverty to accessing help, from retrofit projects and building decarbonisation to voluntary offsetting opportunities.

Climate risk mapping and energy in poverty in Southwark - what is the link between climate change and building decarbonisation?
Advice for residents - what does this tell us about the support that is needed?
Voluntary offsetting in Southwark - can an idea transform how we link businesses with retrofit projects in Southwark?

We'll hear a short presentation from each of our speakers with the chance to explore these topics in more depth through a Panel Discussion and Q&A. There will then be an opportunity to share your own ideas and explore opportunities to collaborate with local businesses in our breakout session.
