Sue Searle has over 40 years’ experience of watercolour painting and she has developed her skill experimenting with a range of techniques which she will share with you. Sue particularly enjoys painting wildlife. You can also use watercolour techniques with acrylic on canvas and many of Sue’s paintings in the gallery use wet-in-wet and dry-on-dry techniques developed using watercolours. Sue is an award-winning trainer and you will enjoy learning new techniques and practicing for yourself under her guidance.
"Over the years I have attended a number of watercolour workshops and yet never quite managed to achieve the effects I wanted so I gave up more often than I succeeded. Not wanting to be beaten, however, I recently signed up for a workshop given by Sue Searle. Instead of showing off her own skills Sue spent the whole day teaching us a series of specific techniques and, for the first time, I began to understand how to manage the medium. Sue's pragmatic, informative, down-to-earth approach, coloured with a delightful sense of fun and freedom, allowed us all to be bold, to experiment, and discover new techniques. As a result, instead of being endlessly frustrated, I am at last beginning to enjoy watercolour painting. I am most grateful and, whether you are a beginner or improver, I would definitely recommend Sue's workshops." - Hazel-Ann Wilson, LifeSparkle
