Over the course of 6 weekly workshops you will exploring traditional techniques in millinery.
The evening classes will run from 6pm -9pm every Wednesday through October / November.
Workshop 1 - 15th October - Planning Your Design.
Workshop 2 - 22nd October - Preparing Felt and Blocking.
Workshop 3 - 29th October - Trimming and Wiring.
Workshop 4 - 5th November - Sewing & Binding.
Workshop 5 - 12th November - Brims and Trims.
Workshop 6 - 19th November - Finishing Touches.
Venue: Atelier at Heather Norman Hat shop. 25 High Street, Chipping Sodbury. BS37 6BA .
£650 per person including materials. £150 of this amount is a non-refundable booking deposit.
Over the course of this 6 week evening class you will be given the opportunity to plan and create a felt hat using traditional wooden hat blocks. From the beautiful 1920’s cloche to a modern day fedora the choice is yours. Heather will give you step by step instructions from the design process to completing your felt hat with various trims of your choice.
All materials, work booklet and refreshments are included.
