6 WEEK COURSE | 1 SESSION PER WEEK (3 hours)

Learn story structure and joke structure through long-form improvisation. We will teach participants how to build stories using emotional and character connection, encouraging ways of creating comedy without the need to “be funny”.


Join Mischief founding member, Harry Kershaw, as he guides you through some of the fundamental principles used to create Mischief’s multi award-winning global hits The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, the BBC TV series The Goes Wrong Show, and many more.


Who is this course for?


This course is designed for performers who are either currently working in, or about to enter, the performance industry.


To be eligible, participants must provide proof of one of the following:


  • Membership with Spotlight or Mandy
  • Professional representation
  • Current training in, or recent graduation from, an acting/performance programme at a higher education institution (e.g., university or accredited drama school)

    Note: All participants must be 18 years or older at the time of the first session.

    About the Instructor

    Harry is a founding member of Mischief Theatre and co-creator and regular cast member of the Olivier-nominated Mischief Movie Night, with over a decade’s experience teaching at some of the UK’s leading drama schools, for schools and youth theatres and delivering corporate workshops. He also leads Mischief’s improvisation workshops. Harry specialises in teaching improvisation, storytelling, and clown.

Harry taught improvisation at LAMDA between 2019–2023 and also teaches at ArtsEd, Associated Studios, and the Cambridge Acting Academy. He has taught at Drama Studio London and for FlairBox, Scoot Theatre, West End Stage Tours, and Just Add Milk. Harry also leads corporate workshops in improvisation and creativity, including recent sessions for Boots.

He is a graduate of the RADA BA in Acting and the LAMDA Foundation Course. His performance credits include the West End, Broadway, and NT Live, along with film and TV appearances in Wallander, Endeavour, Cuckoo, and Skyfall.

Frequently asked questions

How Long is the course?

A 6 week course made up of 6 sessions (1 session per week, 3hr per session).

Can I join a Professional workshop?

Professional workshops are only open to performers currently in or about to enter into the performance industry. If this does not apply to yourself, never fear more beginner and intermediate workshops will be coming soon! All participants must be aged 18 or over.

Do I need to bring anything?

We would advise all of the participants to bring a bottle of water with them to the workshops. Any workshop specific resources will be provided by the workshop leader.

What should I wear?

Clothes that your are happy and comfortable doing physical movement in.

Where do the sessions take place.

This workshop will be taking place at the wonderful Dance Attic in London. 368 North End Rd, London SW6 1LY

How much does it cost.

The cost of this course is £290.00 (including Eventbrite fees.)

I can’t attend the full course can I attend some of the classes?

We are unable to offer pay as you go sessions, the course is run across a 6 week period and as such attendees should be prepared to commit to the full course before purchasing.

Can I pay in instalments?

No - All payments must be paid in full. However we will explore options for instalment payments in future

Can I pay for single sessions as opposed to the full course?

Not currently, for the time being all payments must be paid in full. However we're working on this for future courses.

Can I get a refund

We are able to offer full refunds (minus Eventbrite fee £21.10) on courses up until 30 days before the course start date. However after 30 days we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds.

I am no longer able to attend a prepaid course am I able to use this on a later course?

Course credits are non transferrable. If you have cancelled your course 30 days prior to the start of the course then you can request a refund and reallocate those funds to a future course booking.
