6 week Intermediate silversmithing

Eligibility: You can attend this course if you have completed the 6 week intro to silversmithing, OR a jewellery taster session, plus one other workshop. If you have previous experience elsewhere please email me to discuss eligibility.

This course is perfect to take your jewellery making skills to the next level.  We will continue to build on the skills learned during the Intro to Silversmithing course.  More advanced silversmithing techniques will be introduced, including: delft casting, fold forming and press forming. 

The first four weeks will be spent working with copper and brass to develop a solid foundation in the use of the tools and techniques. The final two weeks will allow you to put your new skills to practice and creating your choice of jewellery based on your own designs. 

All equipment and materials (copper and pewter) required will be provided. Silver will be available to purchase for final designs.

You will be also be eligible to rent a bench to work independently outside of class time, as well as attending more advanced classes.
