Description

Welcome to "60 Minutes", a series of monthly Business Support Workshops run by the Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

This month’s workshop is 'The Dark Web - 9 Ways to Prevent a Cyber Attack' - by Chris Thompson from TechB.

The Dark Web, how it may be exposing your company data and 9 key ways to prevent a cyber-attack today.

What is the Dark Web?

The Dark Web is a masked universe which is an estimated 550 times larger than the searchable Internet or “Surface Web”. The Dark Web is concealed from conventional search engines such like Google, Bing and Yahoo which only index about .04% of the entire Internet.

The other 99.96% of the Web consists of databases, private academic and government networks, and the Dark Web. Because you can operate anonymously on the Dark Web, it holds a wealth of stolen data and illegal activity.

Chris Thompson and Paul Smith at TechB explain how easy it is to obtain your sensitive company information on the Dark Web and will leave you with a number of easy to implement techniques that will protect your business in this ever evolving cyber centric landscape we all operate within!
