W﻿hy is the Gala using wristbands as tickets this year and encouraging early purchase?

By pre-purchasing and wearing your entry wristbands, it  will help us quickly admit hundreds of attendees entering Lauriston Castle alongside the parade, and clear parade traffic off the road.  We appreciate your help with this.

Can I buy tickets/wristbands at the gate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Those waiting to purchase at the gate should expect to queue if arriving at the same time as the parade which is at approximately 12:00 pm.

We recommend buying early to avoid the queue.

How do I volunteer to help with the Gala?

Why are online orders only available to the Davidson's Mains Primary School community?

Why are wristbands being sold as packs?

Accepted Answer

It's to save you money.  :-) To use Eventbright's service, they charge a flat fee plus a percentage on each ticket sold.  By selling a pack of wristbands as one "ticket," buyers will only pay the flat fee (59P) once rather than on every ticket/wristband.
