Our guest speaker at the 6th trefor.net Exec Dinner is Kevin Murphy, BT's Director of Voice & Multimedia, Technology Service and Operations. Kevin is responsible for all voice at BT and operations account for around 1% of the UK's power consumption! He is also a great guy and is I'm sure going to be the catalyst for another super evening of discussion.
Kevin's chat is going to be on the challenges associated with moving voice from the PSTN to 21CN. With this as a catalyst the debate is sure to roam over a wide range of associated subjecs. This is guaranteed to be a great evening.
The venue is Barrafina in Adelaide Street. Baraffina lays claim to be the finest Spanish Restaurant in the country and has recently been awarded a Michelin Star. We are taking over their fantastic private dining room where we will have our own kitchen with the chefs cooking in front of us. The atmosphere is going to ge wonderful.
This is a rare opportunity to combine a great business evening with the chance to sample some of the best food in London. Barrafina doesn't accept bookings unless it is for this dining room so this is a rare opportunity to guarantee a place here. Whilst I was visiting I met their Executive Head Chef Nieves Barragan Mohacho (from Bilbao fwiw:) This is going to be a humdinger.
I'd also like to thank snom for their support in sponsoring this event. The new snom handsets being introduced this year are perfect for a clear overview of numerous extensions, conference calls and for those who consider their telephone to be a key tool in their daily work. snom UK are expecting both these handsets to sell well into UK businesses particularly as prices are highly competitive.
The menu for the evening will be similar to the one set out below with some changes to the starters based on seasonal availability

As usual this event is by invitation only and is open only to senior executives in the UC industry - ITSPs and their ecosystem. The usual Chatham House rules apply - what goes in the room stays in the room. If you know someone who might fit as an attendee but who isn't a regular at these dinners please let me know and if there is space I'll drop them an invitation.
I expect demand to exceed supply for this dinner which is timed for the middle night of UC Expo. Please let me know if you have any specific dietary constraints. There is a max attendance of 24 persons to ensure participation by all.
