7 Lessons on Success from Surah Yusuf

Event Description
Surah Yusuf is called Aḥsan al-Qaṣaṣ“the Best of Stories” — in the Qur’an. More than just history, it is a roadmap for navigating life’s biggest challenges. From betrayal and jealousy, to patience, temptation, leadership, and forgiveness, the story of Prophet Yusuf (ʿalayhi-s-salām) is filled with timeless lessons for success in both dunya and ākhirah.

In this seminar, we will explore 7 powerful lessons from Surah Yusuf that directly speak to the struggles and aspirations of today’s young adults. Whether you are seeking clarity in your career, resilience in trials, strength in resisting temptations, or wisdom in dealing with others — the life of Yusuf offers deep and practical guidance.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ ***

Attending With Children: Due to the nature of the seminar, it can be quite frustrating for young children, therefore we advise that you do not attend with children or babies younger than the age of 7 years old. If you do attend with young children of any age, please keep them with you at all times. If your child becomes restless and makes a lot of noise which disturbs other attendees or the teacher, we will regretably have to ask you to leave.

Seating Arrangments: Seating will be segregated.

Seating is on a first come first served basis. As this is a free event, we will need to register more attendees than we can acutally seat in the venue. The reason we need to do this is because at least 2/3 of the people who register to attend free Islamic seminars and events usually drop out and don't attend on the day. If you want to ensure you have a seat at the event, we strongly advise that you turn up on time. Once the venue has reached maximum capacity we will not be able to let you enter, even if you have family or friends inside already.

Food And Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks and drink with you, we will also try to have some available for purchase but can not gaurantee this.

Salah Arrangments: Women can pray in the Maryam Centre and men can pray in the main hall of the East London Mosque. Please do not pray inside the seminar hall.

Fundraising: This event is being organised by the charity ILM (International Learning Movement) in order to support the work they do around the world there will be a short fundraising segment.
