Event description
A workshop about setting up local climate action groups

About this Event

Do you live in Alkington, Berkeley, Hamfallow, Ham and Stone, Hinton or Slimbridge, and want to do something to help tackle climate change?

If so, come to this workshop on setting up a local climate action group in your community.

Local climate action groups encourage low carbon lifestyles and take community initiatives on energy, food and transport to reduce carbon emissions. Local groups will have a key role in helping achieve carbon neutrality across Stroud District by 2030.

The workshop will:

• provide information about local experiences and good practice in setting up groups;

• enable discussion, sharing and learning about early steps; and

• build confidence in setting up a local group.

Registration is free, but we will ask for voluntary contributions of £2 - £4 on the door to help cover costs and build funds for assisting new groups.
