Description

73rd UN General Assembly Private Sector Side Event entitled "How the Private Sector Can Align to the SDGs: Emerging Business Models" organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Turkey to the UN, the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Norway to the UN and UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development will comprise of two sessions:

Session 1: The launch of two major developments: 1) a new impact management platform UNDP is launching to catalyze private capital in support of the SDGs by providing private sector partners (financial and corporate) with clear guidance, tools, and insights to catalyze and leverage SDG aligned investments. 2) a new SDG Impact Accelerator concept, which has been proposed by the Government of Turkey, in collaboration with UNDP and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Session 2: High-level dialogue with confirmed high-level speakers: The event will underline how SDGs provide a roadmap for systemic solutions to address global challenges based on new business models, transparency and sustainability.
