The pricing and monitoring tools are simple spreadsheets that can be used by Law Centres to help you set your charges for fee-paying work to ensure full cost recovery.

By using the tools regularly, you’ll be able to see what your costs are for different types of cases, how long they’re taking and what you should be charging for them.

The training will walk you through how the tools work and show you how to use them to get the most value out of them through a step-by-step demonstration. Please bring your laptop to work alongside the demonstration – no advance excel knowledge required!

The Trainer:

Shira Lappin from Social Finance.

Shira joined Social Finance in 2017, where her work has focused in Enterprise and Investor Advisory, working with organisations to help them better understand their data, develop and present growth strategies and build out financial models in order to attract social investment. She has worked across financial inclusion, education and communities.

Prior to Social Finance, Shira worked for Frontier Economics, an economic consultancy, on a wide range of regulatory, policy and market design issues in the UK and across Europe.

Shira holds an MSc in Economic Policy from UCL and an MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.

Cancellation Policy

Payments will be refunded if the LCN is notified of the cancellation 7 clear days in advance of the training event. If cancellation is made within 7 days of the training event, the payment will not be refunded. Non - attenders will not be refunded.

On occasion, LCN may need to cancel a course due to extenuating circumstances. The decision to cancel a training course is at the discretion of the Director. All delegates will be notified by e-mail. LCN will refund the course fees or offer a place at an alternative training event. LCN will not be liable for any costs incurred by an individual or organisation eg travel expenses, for a cancelled course.
