Clare Wassermann's Journaling and Travel Sketchbook Workshop
Event Information
About this Event
Come and spend a day of happy memories of your travels or bring your dreams to life in a journal which you can add to over the times.
Clare will show you easy ways to record and make notes to create a visual diary or sketchbook which you can add to on holiday, day trips or even just a walk.
She will demonstrate how she keeps her travel sketchbooks and show you how to do the same. They are a wonderful preserver of memories and often can lead to further paintings.
Please bring a decent A5 sized sketchbook with thickish cartridge or watercolour paper in it or else contact us in advance and one can be supplied on the day (extra £3 on the day).
Bring with you any receipts, tickets, tourist information leaflets, maps or photos / photocopies that you have saved. You might find magazine snippets to use. Bring along snapshots you took on your phone to refer to if you have them. Even pictures of little details of shells, windows, doors, text etc could be used.
If you have acrylic or gouache paints and brushes please bring them along with anything else you would like to use. Gelly pens / paint pens / markers can be good. Also a waterproof marker pen – thin nib and thicker nib would be handy. Coloured pencils, watercolour pencils and an open mind are useful!
There will also be a selection of other lovely collage papers and materials to try out.
Please bring an apron and a packed lunch or money for the on-site café if you prefer.
