Mindfulness is both a skill and an attitude. With practice, we can become more aware of what is going on for us in any given moment, which can then enable us to live more skilfully. Mindfulness involves bringing compassion and acceptance into our lives, so that we feel more at ease with who we are and more resilient in the face of difficulty.
The Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) aims to help you develop an in-depth personal experience of mindfulness and build the foundations of on-going personal practice, with a view to applying this in your day-to-day life.
The course will take place from 6pm to 8pm every Tuesday evening between 20th September and 15th November, with the exception of 18th October (half-term week). There is also a full day session on Sunday 6th November.
The MBLC is for anyone aged 18 or over with an interest in embedding mindfulness into their lives – from people who are new to mindfulness to those who wish to deepen their practice. If you are a complete beginner, we would advise attending one of the two free taster courses on 23rd August or 6th September.
