The Course helps you to systematically develop the skills of being present with your experience. It aims to assist you in dealing with what can be stressful and challenging, helps you to take better care of yourself and get the most out of your life. The aim is to learn new ways to handle challenging physical sensations, feelings, moods or social interactions. The course consists of :
- 8 weekly sessions of two and a half hours,
- Saturday All Day Session (11am to 4pm),
- Mindful communication within the group,
- Regular mindfulness practice,
- Course manual and two CD’s for guidance
Course Dates Oct. - Dec. 2016:
- Session I on 26th Oct.
- Session II on 2nd Nov.
- Session III on 9th Nov,
- Session IV on 16th Nov,
- Session V on 23rd Nov, (attending day retreat after this week)
- Session VI on 30th Nov,
- Session VII on 7th dec and
- Session VIII on 14th Dec.
Venue: Kagyu Samye Dzong, 7 Ashley Street, off Woodlands road, Glasgow
Timings: 7pm to 9.30pm
Full Cost: £250 (£50 deposit to confirm your place) Note: There is 25% discount for our previous participants who have engaged in Eight Week Course earlier.
Day Retreats in Glasgow are offered on the third Saturday of each month from 11am to 4pm and we suggest that you attend the retreat after week 5 or week 6 of the course.

The Mindfulness training we offer, provides an excellent foundation for understanding and practising mindfulness in a direct practical way, both within a group setting and at home by oneself.
