Compete against students around the world in Invent for the Planet - a global engineering competition.

For 48 hours, you will work to solve a mission statement focusing on real global issues. From arriving on the Friday where you will form teams to presenting your final, created design in front of a panel of judges on Sunday - this is a full on, intense chance to develop multiple skills.

Build experience in engineering innovation and design, develop your team work, communication and presentation skills. We will have a team of expert mentors available throughout the weekend on site to consult with. You can also utilise the Mission Statement Expert allocated from the participating universities, meaning you could be talking to a world leading academic researcher on the other side of the world.

This unique opportunity is in partnership with Texas A&M University, with over 40 universities world wide, spanning 20 countries, and 6 continents. Swansea University is the only UK institution selected to participate. The winning team from each institution will have the opportunity to go to Texas A&M University to work on their innovative solution.

TO PARTICIPATE:

You must be a current Swansea University Engineering student.

Must be free for all of the weekend 14th - 16th February.

You must enter as an individual, not a group.

With limited spaces available, all applications will be reviewed by a panel according to Texas A&M guidelines. All applicants will receive a final decision via email on Friday 24th January.

Participants travelling will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses
