This is a 3-hour interactive workshop for postgraduate researchers delivered by an external presenter, Dr Jennifer Allanson, Tuplespace Ltd.
A time comes on your research journey when your work is ready for publication. It’s important to recognize when you have publishable findings. It’s also important to understand how to structure and present those findings in an appropriate format, ready for peer review. In this workshop you will:
• Consider the purpose of writing scientific articles
• Understand when your work ready for publication
• Ask 5 simple questions before you start writing
• Analyze and learn from the writing of others
• Map out your publication
• Write an abstract
• Learn how to structure an argument
• How to incorporate the work of others in support of your work
