Talk 9 of 10: Drawn to Together
Lets look at drawing, sketching, this simple ancient, universal act of creativity, as ‘therapy’, as a way of killing demons and exploring feelings. It is used professionally to help with PTSD and also in private by veterans as a hobby and way of focusing and relaxing, a new and peaceful hobby. The psychology of pictures and analysis of content and meaning can to help unlock deep feelings and exorcise the hidden traumas. Drawing can help you map out your thoughts, put them in front of you, leaving a little bit of that troubled mind on the page, each time you draw. This isn’t about making a master piece or being a brilliant artist, this about using the tools to hand, to help find yourself again -
Drawing to get home. But tonight, lets keep it simple, a scribble, mind maps, vector diagrams, symbols and brainstorming, having some fun. Be sure to have a pencil and paper to hand.
Let's look at some of these amazing artists and ask...
"How does war affect art and vice versa?"
