North East Insight Lab

Insight Labs are part of the Housing Futures programme, run by the National Housing Federation. The National Housing Federation is the voice of housing associations in England. Housing Futures is the UK’s largest housing collaboration, bringing associations together to tackle some of housing's biggest challenges.

We have identified regional problem areas and now we need to get curious and find out as much as we can about the problem, challenging our own understanding of what the problem is. Who is it affecting and what is really going on behind the scenes. To do this, we are running Insight Labs in every region of the country where participants will be trained in key innovation behaviours and will learn the most important part of the innovation process: Insight.

During the Insight Lab you will learn how to gather great insight on your regional problem area and collaborate with other housing association staff and residents from across your region.

Afterwards we want you to become detectives, gathering fantastic insight through books, online articles, and conversations with people directly experiencing the problem, as well as experts and practitioners. Collaboratively, you will gather a depth of insight about your regional problem area. Once we can better understand the problem, then we can start to solve it.

The workshops are being delivered Insight Leaders, they are other housing association staff from your region who have undergone training with innovation experts, ?What If! Innovation.
