Due to the current global outbreak of Coronavirus we would like to update you on some innovative changes and measures that we are putting in place to make sure our customers are able to continue accessing training.
During this period we will deliver all of our courses via a virtual classroom. For each course interactive weekly sessions will be held with a course trainer via Zoom and participants will have access to all learning resources online. We will also enable you to arrange 1-2-1 sessions with your course trainer if additional assistance is required.

What is the Business Start-up Certification?
Over half a million businesses are started every year; however, 30% of these fail within the first two years. Having a better understanding of the initial processes and requirements of a business start-up can increase the chances of your business succeeding. If you’re looking to start your own business, or already have a business but want to develop and progress your business plan, this qualification will support you with the skills and knowledge you need.
Course Content
- The initial steps you need to take for a business start-up
- Key marketing techniques for your business start-up
- The legal and financial considerations you should be taking when starting a business
- Developing a business plan
Course Fee and Eligibility
The course is government funded and you are required to meet the following criteria
- Be over 19 years old
- Have proof of residency in the UK/EU for at least three years.
- Be unemployed or on a career break OR on furlough
- Be in receipt of a benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance/Universal Credit OR in receipt of 80% of your salary OR
- Be employed/self-employed and earning up to £16k per year
- Must have full level 2 qualification
If you don't meet the eligibility criteria, you have the option to pay a discounted rate of just £250 for the course.
Please note: during this period whilst we deliver training via a virtual classroom, learners will require access to a WIFI connection and a laptop, tablet or mobile device.
