About this Event

Online Preconference Workshop (Tuesday 11th May 14:00-17:00)

The day before the conference there will be an online preconference workshop in the afternoon titled 'Developing perceptual cognitive expertise: Considerations for the role for virtual immersive technology'. There will be presentations from Sam Vine, David Harris, Dave Mann, Rob Gray, Matt Dicks, Harry Ramsey, James Stafford and Cathy Craig and plenty of time for discussion too. To see the full programme please click here. You will need to register for this preconference workshop by purchasing a free ticket. Online Conference (Wednesday 12th May 09:00-17:30)

For the main conference, we have two keynote presentations from Damian Farrow and Joe Baker. There will also be three symposium sessions, an open presentation session and a poster presentation session. The first symposium will be on the Athletic Skills Model for optimising motor development by Geert Savelsbergh, Rene Wormhoudt & Martina Navarro. The two following symposiums will run in parallel; a symposium on looking beyond traditional age grouping in youth sport by Adam Kelly, Jan Verbeek & Daniel Goldman, and a symposium on perception and cognition of internal and external information during self-paced exercise by Florentina Hettinga, Jake Butterworth & Amy Whitehead. To see the full programme please click here.

Please register for the ESAN 2021 conference and preconference workshop by purchasing a free ticket. Once you have registered, you will receive a bespoke link to the online conference shortly before the event. Please do not share the links with anyone who has not got a ticket. This is so we can track the number of attendees and make sure the online sessions run smoothly.
