About this event

***Stop press we are pleased to announce that Lord Martin Rees, Astronomer Royal and Co-chair of the All Party Parlimentary group for Dark Skies will be launching our Dark Skies Festival, together with a warm welcome from the Brecon Beacons National Park’s new Chief Executive Catherine Mealing-Jones ***

Most of the planets in our solar system have been observed by astronomers by eye for thousands of years. With the most basic of optical aids such as binoculars or a telescope it is possible to see them all and even some of their moons and surface features. This guide for absolute beginners will show you how to find and observe them and what to look out for.
