A Beginners Guide to Photography worksop

Learn the basics of photography and start creating your own fabulous photographs on our one day workshop!

The object of this workshop is to teach you some of the fundamental elements of photography, that will help you to take control of your camera and produce better photographs.

On the day you will learn about aperture, shutter-speeds, iso, white balance and exposure compensation. It will also include the rules of composition and how you can use composition creatively to drastically improve your photography. You’ll learn how to create depths of field and how to produce a sense of movement in your photos.

DSLR camera owners will benefit most from this workshop, however if you have a bridge camera, or a point and shoot camera that has manual setting, you will still benefit hugely. Please check that your camera has manual settings before booking (most modern cameras include manual settings as standard). However, a DSLR CAMERA is strongly recommended to make the most out of this course.

On the Day

The day will start at 10.30am in the studio with a presentation on aperture, shutter-speeds, iso, white balance and exposure compensation, and where you can find them on your camera.

After lunch(not provided) we will then take our cameras out around the city, where you will then get the chance to put those elements into practice.
