About this event

Practice the art of describing yourself. This is a one-off workshop dedicated to those tricky moments when you want to tell the world who you are and you clam up. Someone at a wedding asks what you’re up to? Your job wants a third-person bio? Trying to update that top bit of your CV? Or just feeling a lack of purpose and clarity and need some new language?

In this workshop, we play with possible versions of your story, and find creative ways to express what you’re up to, where you’ve been, and what you care about.

You’ll leave with a mini-story that you will be able to use right away.

What: a 2-hour workshop with take-home activities

When: Friday August 15th, 5.30-7.30PM, repeated Sunday August 17th 5.30-7.30PM

How: meeting on Zoom

Cost: £10-30, sliding scale, pay-what-you-can

Former participants have said:

"Through a series of cleverly interwoven exercises and discussions, I found I pulled together a Bio that felt authentic, yet interesting; that reflected me without giving away my soul. I recommend you give this one a go. It might surprise you."

"A friendly, relaxed workshop exploring how to write and storytell about yourself in an authentic manner. Practical pre-prep and in-workshop exercises. The feedback from Georgina and other workshop participants was particularly beneficial."
