Event description

Description

A Briefing Session on a new data economy project:

DATASPHERE: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY AND USER- FOCUSED DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT FOR DATA MOBILITY

DataSphere is the Digital “twin” of the real economy. It is an alternative reality space created to develop and test behavioural, economic, technology, governance, regulation, policy, and ethical issues of decentralised data mobility in a safe yet scalable environment before artefacts (be they laws, products or services) go live. Every partner entity has a twin in DataSphere, be it a company, a person or a regulator.

DataSphere is a project led by University of Warwick in collaboration with University of Cambridge, University of Surrey, University of Exeter and Imperial College London.

The project was created in response to the Next Stage Digital Economy Centre call at https://epsrc.ukri.org/funding/calls/nextstagedigitaleconomycentres/. However, DataSphere extends beyond the Digital Economy Centre, advancing research into decentralisation, edge technologies and economic models

The DataSphere project is project managed and coordinated by HATLAB at the HAT Community Foundation.
