Description

This half-day workshop is for people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic populations (BAME) who are interested in a career in clinical psychology. It includes inspirational talks from people at different stages of the career pathway, from current trainees to experienced clinical psychologists. Themes include why diversity is important in the profession and how to increase your prospects of getting on to a clinical psychology training programme. Confirmed speakers include Prof Zenobia Nadirshaw, Consultant Clinical Psychologist who won the BPS
Honorary Life Award for her 42 years in Psychology raising the profile of ethnic minorities issues within the helping professions of psychology, psychotherapy and counselling and was voted “Inspiring Woman of the Year” at the 2016 MigrantWoman of the Year Awards.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is very limited parking at the venue and parking in central Oxford is limited and expensive. Attendees are strongly encouraged to use public transport or one of the Oxford Park and Ride schemes.
