The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London, together with the Psychiatry Research Trust, are hosting a commemorative event to celebrate the life and work of Professor Sir David Goldberg.

Professor Sir David Goldberg was influential in advancing the field of psychiatric epidemiology, improving mental health services in low- and middle-income countries and primary care settings, and training psychiatrists worldwide. Sir David was the Chair of the Psychiatry Research Trust (a charity dedicated to research and education in mental health) for over a decade, supporting many early career researchers within the IoPPN and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The commemorative event will be held at the Wolfson Lecture Theatre on Denmark Hill campus (16 De Crespigny Park, London SE5 8AB) from 15:00 to 17:30, followed by an evening drinks reception. Friends and colleagues will talk about Sir David’s impact on them, their work, and the field of psychiatry.
