Description
We will discuss a changing London and what civic societies and others should be doing to ensure that their councils achieve graceful improvement of their boroughs, rather than poor-quality development and loss of green space.
Tthere will be four speakers:
- Alice Roberts of CPRE London, who will describe CPRE's successful work to find appropriate places for densification in Enfield
- Peter Eversden MBE, Chair of London Forum, who will explain the changes under the new London Plan and what civic societies should be doing to prepare, including ensuring that their boroughs have necessary design codes
- George Saumarez Smith of ADAM Architecture, who will discuss design codes and how densification can be done well
The presentations will be followed by Q&A and discussion, with a short break for refreshments.
Doors will open at 6:15 for a start at 6:30 sharp.
