Description

Theological Refreshment in Ministry (TRiM)

This, our annual regional short residential conference, is open to lay and ordained ministers, priests, local pastors, preachers, Readers and LLMs from all of the participating churches in the region.

The conference provides an opportunity to learn and pray together in a relaxed atmosphere away from church duties. Each conference focuses on a particular area of theology. This year Tim Stevens will lead on…

A Church for the World – witnessing to the Kingdom in uncertain times

The mystic Evelyn Underhill wrote, “the prevalent notion that spirituality and politics have nothing to do with one another is the exact opposite of the truth. Once it is accepted in a realistic sense, the spiritual life has everything to do with politics. It means that certain convictions about God and the world become the moral and spiritual imperatives of our life.”

We shall look at how these moral and spiritual imperatives are emerging for us as we live through times of change and profound uncertainty for church and nation, and how they might shape our preaching, teaching, witnessing and praying.

  • The Bible and the Kingdom
  • Witnesses to the Kingdom in today’s world
  • Kingdom issues for our society
  • The Incarnation and the Kingdom
  • Praying the Kingdom

He is also Prelate of St John International - a global humanitarian organisation.

The cost is £120 and is payable at the time of booking. For most participants, your CMD allowance should cover some or all of this, please contact your local CMD office once you have booked.
