'A City of Homes' workshop with Laura Carlin
Dates: Friday 12th, Saturday 13th, Friday 19th, Saturday 20th May
Times: 1pm- 3pm & 4pm- 6pm
Through the eyes of illustrator and ceramicist explore the communities and neighbourhoods of London expressed through everyday found and domestic objects; where items like paper, plastic funnels and pipe fittings, matchboxes are painted and illustrated to become houses, streets and homes. Through a creative and highly imaginative workshop, you’ll create your own 3D maquette, and consider what are the features inside and outside that makes it a home. Coming together, you’ll compose a entire community and discuss the different ideas and approaches to, literally, home-making.
Laura Carlin is an award wining ceramicist and illustrator, whose charming, whimsical designs and quirky sculptures have developed a cult following in the UK and abroad.
Please bring your valid booking confirmation with you, which must be produced on arrival in order to enter.
