OCD

A Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Approach

This training session is hosted by Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland and delivered by Sally Ingram.

Aims

This session will explore:

  • Signs & symptoms of OCD
  • CBT theory to treating OCD, including, functional Analysis, Hierarchy creation, Exposure and response prevention in action, In-session exposure, Practitioner modelling

Format

The session is designed to utilise and build on the existing knowledge and experiences of the delegates present. The session is a combination of; Interactive group discussions, Case reviews

Materials

All delegates receive handouts covering the session’s content in more detail, with further reading material designed to be a future referent and a resources and publications list.

Sally Ingram is a qualified, psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor, adult, child and adolescent counsellor. Sally’s work with OCD spans 15 years in the role of counsellor, supervisor and residential family worker.
