Decolonising Russia's War on Ukraine
A series of lectures, screenings and a round-table discussion.
This event aims to dissect the war as a colonial enterprise and promote understanding of colonial violence.
Lectures, 3-5pm by Maksym Eristavi, Abdurahman Avtorkhanov, Oleksiy Radynski (VCRC Kyiv), Daria Tsymbalyuk (artist and filmmaker, PHD University of St Andrews), Victoria Donovan (Senior Lecturer and Director of the Centre for Russian, Soviet, Central, and East European Studies at the University of St Andrews) and Ievgeniia Gubkina (Urban Forms Centre, Kharkiv)
Screenings, 6-7.30pm by Vitaly Chernetsky, Olexii Kuchanskiy, Dana Kavelina and Mykola Ridnyi (artist, filmmaker, and essayist)
Followed by an open round-table discussion.
