Event description

Description

Richard Jobson shot to fame 40 years ago as a singer songwriter for the punk band, Skids. Since then he has proven to be a true renaissance man, enjoying a successful career as a TV presenter, producer, film maker, critic, writer and artist. Skids have now reformed and are currently on their 40th anniversary tour, Burning Cities.

For the Outwith Festival, Richard will be hosted by Fife artist, Ian Moir. They will discuss Richard’s varied artistic career and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions. Richard will be reading from his new novel, The Speed of Life, a fantasy about two space aliens who travel to planet Earth to find David Bowie. He will also read from his short, autobiographical story, 16 Years of Alcohol, originally published in 1986 and later made into a feature film in 2003. The original story is due to be reprinted this year.
