A day of archaeological & heritage discovery. Free Entry – All welcome

Throughout the day there will be displays of artefacts & other items of interest.

Morning Session @ 10.30: The Burgage Manor Revealed. An illustrated Report on the conclusions of the Heritage Lottery Funded Project. Speakers include Laura Binns from Trent & Peak Archaeology, the projects professional provider and Ellis Morgan the group’s project manager.

Afternoon Session @ 2.00: From Roman Villa to Norman Minster. A fresh look at the heritage of the archaeological assemblage of the Minster & Church Street including the site of the former school. Chaired by Professor Dixon Archaeologist to the Dean & Chapter, Ursilla Spence County Archaeologist, Dr Will Bowden University of Nottingham; Matt Beresford for Roman Southwell Community Project.

Booking for the day is not required but if you require lunch you will need to REGISTER through this Eventbrite page. The Eventbrite ticket registers your lunch requirement but unless otherwise informed you will need to pay £5 per head on the day. Lunch will be a finger buffet. Please book a ticket for every lunch you require, and let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. Food must be booked by October 6th and you will need to bring your ticket on the day.
