A Day of Organisational Psychological Safety by Aginext (LIVE)

About this event

Join us for a Day of Organisational Psychological Safety by Aginext, on Friday 11 June, an event intentionally designed for optimal interaction and unique, advanced conversations around creating a safe space for experimentation and collaboration at work.

In times of uncertainty and transition, how do we provide a psychologically safe working environment? How do we embrace diversity, inclusion and transparency in a way that allows everyone to succeed? No matter if on-site, hybrid or remote, how do we increase both trust and productivity on our teams? Increase creativity and decrease burnout? Move fast while creating a safe place to make mistakes, learn fast and pivot?

This one-day event features all original content in the form of one keynote, eight 20-min talks, five 45-min workshops, a panel, a fishbowl, remote games, and plenty of opportunities for networking and breaks, across two tracks:

Recorded activities followed by unrecorded discussion in Zoom Meetings:

  • Keynote: Creating Systemic Change Through Reconstructing Masculinity By Daniel Edmund
  • Talk: Thriving for the future with creativity, not burnout (Stop chasing productivity!) by Steph South & Priyanka D’Souza
  • Talk: It’s OK to pause your career by Dawn Parzych
  • Talk: Healthy Teams are Happy Teams by Gwenno Haf Hughes
  • Talk: Should 'safe to fail' be a part of psychological safety? by Adil Addiya
  • Panel: Developing a Routine of Ethical Considerations
  • Talk: Unquantified Serendipity: Diversity in development by Quintessence Anx
  • Talk: Rank & Revenge in Agile Teams by Christine Thompson & Jonas Berends
  • Talk: How to thrive at work in times of a global pandemic by Tomasz Manugiewicz
  • Talk: Leadership is More than a Title: A look into personal leadership by Bola Ajose

Unrecorded activities in our virtual venue Spatial.Chat (please use Chrome) which allows you to move yourself around, mimicking an in-person event:

  • Fishbowl on Psychological Safety with Giles Lindsay
  • Workshop: Deep Humane Patterns for Building Safety from Tribal Africa with Grace Johnson & Scott Seivwright
  • Workshop: How to lead virtual and hybrid teams to ensure psychological safety and productivity in the workplace with Nadine Soyez & Nadia Harris
  • Workshop: Improving Psychological Safety by Understanding Communication Styles with Paul Harding & Elly Griffith-Ward
  • Workshop: Balancing Accountability and Psychological Safety with Andrea Dobson-Kock, Carla Gaggini & Ben Gurney
  • Workshop: How to ask people to dance: Creating better spaces to be more inclusive at work by Mun-Wai Chung and JF Unson
  • Games to close out our day facilitated by Modulearn
  • Open Hallway Space & Networking throughout the day by the Aginext Community

Aginext is all about community — as much is gained from networking over coffee and in post-session discussion and breaks as from our stellar schedule — which is why, upon purchasing tickets, you will be invited to our exclusive Slack community which will help you network ahead and continue the conversation after. All Aginext events boast a great speaker-to-attendee ratio to foster intimate interactions and forward-thinking, problem-solving conversations.

After 19 events, the Aginext Community decided to create this special event because 2021 is a year of transition and the topic of psychological safety warrants its own focussed conversation. Because our addiction to burnout has to end and everyone benefits from being intentional about belonging.

Every member of our community — from speakers to attendees — is someone with an open, agile mindset contributing to a psychologically safe experience. Please read our Code of Conduct before purchasing a ticket. https://www.aginext.io/code-of-conduct/

By buying a ticket, you are enabling us to give away a scholarship ticket to someone who otherwise could not join. We will open up Diversity Ticket giveaways later in May.

Follow us on Twitter @AginextIO and on LinkedIn and please share that you're joining to #Aginext and tell us what you hope to achieve this Friday together!

See you in June!
