A FAIR, FREE AND EQUAL SOCIETY. Is that really possible? Talks and workshop
Event Information
Description
Three short talks by an MP, Paul Blomfield; an academic, Matt Wood, Deputy Director of the Sir Bernard Crick Centre for the Public Understanding of Politics; and a social activist, Martin Large, of Stroud Common Wealth, pioneer of community land trusts for housing and farming plus social business. With questions and discussion. Examples of possible questions - how can you marry the demands for social justice with a free enterprise global economy? Can education be free of commercial interests and political short termism? What is meant by 'an equal' society? Should there be limits to state and economic power? etc.
On Saturday the 13th, from 10am to 5pm Martin Large will run a workshop on CO-CREATING A GREEN, MUTUAL, FREE AND EQUAL SOCIETY; from Vision to Action. See next entry
