Biophilia MCR’s Terrarium Workshop
This is a hands-on and creative workshop where you can make your own terrariums.
Biophilia Manchester’s workshop instructor will guide you through the materials needed, the different types of terrariums you can build and the variety of plants you can use.
What will I learn?
Terrarium workshops are a therapeutic and rewarding experience. Among the benefits is that it’s complete hands-on knowledge and you’re able to get one-to-one attention while at the same time learning more about other individuals who share similar interests to you.
It’s also a brilliant chance to discover all sorts of plants, what they require, how they grow, and how to look after them when you get home.
What are Terrariums?
A ‘Terrarium’ is a glass container filled with miniature plants, rocks and soil, they mimic real landscapes and bring nature inside.
They are self-sustained eco-systems layered with various materials, each with their own purpose. There are two types of terrariums: open and closed, and some can thrive for over 40 years.
