Step away from the stresses of daily life and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of our park and  woodland setting. Our guided Forest Bathing Session invites you to slow down, awaken your senses, and deeply connect with nature in a mindful and restorative way.

Wander through the woodland at a leisurely pace, engaging all your senses—mindfully notice the exquisite beauty of your surroundings, breathe in the fresh, earthy aromas, feel the textures of bark, listen to the soothing sounds of birdsong, and absorb the calming atmosphere of the forest. The experience features a unique elemental breathing and grounding exercise allowing you to completely unwind beneath the leafy canopy, followed by a warming woodland tea.

Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing is a proven method to enhance well-being, with benefits including:

Easing anxiety, stress, and overthinking

Balancing blood pressure and reducing cortisol levels

Strengthening the immune system

Boosting creativity and mental clarity

Improved sleep, memory, and concentration

A woodland wellbeing forest bathing taster session normally lasts for 2 1/2  hours. Expect a mindful, slow paced stroll immersed in the natural environment. We will be moving at approximately 2-3 miles an hour.

What you need to know

  • Meet at 10.30am at the main visitor reception.
  • The experience will last around 2 hours.
  • You may want to bring a small backpack containing a water bottle, extra layer, waterproof or sun cream and hat on warmer days. As we head into Autumn and Winter we expect the sessions to go ahead in all but the worst of weather so extra layers and waterproofs are essential.
  • We recommend wearing long trousers and walking shoes or boots but strong trainers or wellies will do for most of the trails we will use.
  • There are limited spaces so please make sure to book.
  • Parking charges apply at all times.

Places are available for anyone over the age of 16; however anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18 who is responsible for them

Do you need to be physically fit to come forest bathing?
