About the walk
The previous sold-out event is back due to popular demand! Whether you are a seasoned nature enthusiast or simply seeking an enchanting evening in an ancient woodland, join us for a longer walk in Epping Forest after dark. Led by our expert guide Mike Smith, and supported by our experienced marshals Eleanor and Graham, the walk will take you into the woods where you will have the unique opportunity to experience the Forest in a different perspective.
What to bring/wear
- Head torch, or hand torch
- Please wear weather-proof clothings and sturdy footwear, as the Forest cold be muddy and slippery
This walk will NOT finish at the starting point. We will meet at Loughton Station and finish at Theydon Bois Station. Pleaes plan your transport accordingly.

Join our Guided Walks to discover more of Epping Forest and its ecology, heritage and cultural. Walks are led by our expert volunteer leaders. Some are a gental stroll, whilst others are taken at a faster pace. Each walk tends to focus on a small part of the Forest, and sometimes with specific themes ranging from local histry to natural environment.
