A future for Edinburgh's children - a consultation
Tue 25 April 2017, 14:30 – 16:30 BST
EVOC are hosting a consultation to invite comments from third sector organisations working with children, young people and their families about the Edinburgh Integrated Plan for Children and Young People.
We will be joined by Nick Croft, Partnership and Locality Manager, Strategy and Insight Division, City of Edinburgh Council who will be taking us through the details of the plan.
Over the past few months, City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian and EVOC have been involved in bringing together the Edinburgh Integrated Plan for Children and Young People. This plan is being developed in response to the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, which requires that statutory bodies and their partners work together to safeguard, support and promote the wellbeing of children and young people. The five strategic outcomes for the plan are as follows:
Every child will have the best start in life.
Children and young people’s attendance, attainment and achievement gaps will be improved.
Every child and young person will have good health and wellbeing.
Equality amongst children and young people and their families will be advanced.
Children and young people, their families and their communities will be empowered to improve their wellbeing.
We hope that you will be able to join us to provide your feedback about the future of services for children and young people in Edinburgh.
Refreshments will be provided.
